I been here twice and come here only for their signature dish - Gai Wo Bao (鸡窝包). Most of the food blogger translate it to "Chicken Nest Bun"

Clan Restaurant is famous on their signature bun and the place always crowded during weekend morning. You will see family with 3-4 generation is gather a table to eat dim sum. This is our Chinese culture. If you wish to come here for their dim sum, you have to come early before 10am. Otherwise, you have to wait for a table some time. Yes I experience it during my first visit.

This is what they call "Chicken Nest Bun".

You have to eat while it still hot. Gai Wo Bao actually is the transformation from Dai Bao. Inner is glutinous rice with meat of chicken and pork, mushroom as well as egg yolk wrapped in plain bun.

You can take away for the not steamed yet and keep it in fridge for few days. But not very recommend put for so long, it might took the freshness and the taste may slightly gone.

Alright, let's see what we have eat.

Bacon Dumplings

Prawn Dumplings (Har Gao)

Pork Dumpling (Siu Mai)

Steam Fish Ball

Chicken Feet

Oops! I forget what is this name as.

Fried Radish Cake

Golden Bun (Custard Bun)

The steamed bun come with custard and egg yolk filling. The sauce is too good and it going flow out while I taking picture! This is always my favorite in dim sum restaurant. I will not miss out of this!

Total damage around RM 54. The price is slightly increase after GST. You may visit their another branch at Menjalara if Sri Petaling is too far for you. The taste remain unchanged even they start up a new branch, you still can taste the delicate of chicken nest bun. :)
