Mini Mini Cafe @ Mid Valley Megamall

BY Unknown IN , No comments

Do you ever think about dining in the mini cafe? The sounds like we are at the Alice In Wonderland, isn't? I have notice them since they are on their way to renovate the cafe, the board showing cuteness of rabbit and I awaiting their cafe opening.

However, they are not in rabbit theme, actually the cafe owner has make the cafe concept as curated miniatures dolls. What you can see from the cafe is full of miniatures figures include dining table also input those miniatures figures dolls.

The cafe has been open as 2 shop from left to right.

They have fully occupied center area as well and divide to 3 section let customer choose their seat as free. You may sit in open area which is at center of the cafe.

Here is the private section which offer customer to having some celebration or party.

Here just a lot of photo opportunities to who love to take photo.

How about their food? Their food absolutely is in mini size as well.
Lamb Pizza RM17.90

Peanut Butter & Banana Waffle RM10.90

Sandwiched Pancake RM10.90

If you wondering what is the inside table, they are miniatures! Each table have miniatures in it.

Fruity Pavlova RM12.90

By the way, the cafe has carry some ready stock of miniatures for sell. You can ask the staff from Mini Mini Cafe for assistance if you interested with it.

My Verdict at Mini Mini Cafe
From all above, I prefer waffle and the flavor is mix and match well.
The pavlova is not in my expectation and quite sweet for me.
Since all the food is mini size, you can come for having some afternoon tea and finger foods instead as your main course.

[Non-Halal] SRK Noodle House @ Section 14, Petaling Jaya

BY Unknown IN , No comments

Alright, I'm addicted to eat Sarawak food recently and my friend is bring me to a new restaurant open at Section 14. The restaurant is not very new but I never realize this restaurant has been open for few branch include Subang, Puchong and Sri Petaling. Obviously, I seldom visit these area, so I never know about until they open a branch at PJ.

Being heard that, this is one of the restaurant serve almost authentic Sarawak food and the taste just mostly similar from Sarawak. And the person who told me this is Sarawakians. Wow~ Why not try out of this since he said like that?

Bien Nuik Soup 扁肉汤 RM6.80(R); RM7.80(L)

Another words is Wanton, they are not cut the meat by knife. Because the word of 'Bien' means flat. So they are going pounded the meat become thinly with custom mallet.

Kampua 乾盤面 RM6.80(R); RM7.80 (L)

This is what they said as Kolok Mee. But they said Kolok Mee is invented by Hakka People and Kampua is the authentic noodle from Sarawak. The noodles are generally custom made by the owner himself with using fresh ingredients, without adding artificial flavoring. The noodles is soft

Sarawak Laksa 正宗砂拉越叻沙 RM7.80(R); RM8.80(L)

The laksa not spicy and I recommend who those is tomato boy or girl, you may try this out and you would not regret on it.

My Verdict at SRK Noodle House:
The pork meat (Char Xiu) is quite different with local meat. This is the meat I ate from childhood in my hometown. I happy to said that I found the taste in my memory and honestly I miss my hometown food.
The price is value to pay, and the portion is worth for the price.
Heard that their Special Mee Hoon fried with sweet leaves have a good review as well. Will come back for this in future.

For who is follow my Instagram or Facebook will knowing I had being a sandwich girl for one day last Saturday. Thank you for the exclusive invitation from O'Briens and Seeties x TAP, this is quite excited for me to experience make my own sandwich.

After giving some welcome speech, we are heading to the kitchen and making our own sandwich.

Thanks giving a very clear explanation on the bread selection, ingredients, sauce and how to make a good sandwich.

There is very easy to make your own sandwich with RM13.90 each.
1. Choose your bread from Ciabatta, Facaccia Shambo, Wholemeal Shambo, Wrappo, multigrain, white or wholemeal toast. (7 types of bread)
2. Choose your main fillings from chicken, turkey, fish and beef; choose your cheese from cheddar, swiss, brie, feta, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
3. Choose 3 vegetables/salad like fresh tomato, red onion, cucumber, lettuce, pepper etc.
4. After heating, put 1 sauce of your choice on top then it done!

So, I going start to making mine! Before start, we have to wearing the apron and cap prepare by them for hygiene purpose.

As they said, Facaccia Shambo Bread is their customize bread with a design of 3 flowers. So I choose Focasia Shambo as my bread.

Cut half for the bread and place butter on bottom part of bread.

Choose your meat >> I love tuna!

Then choose your salad, I like tomato and onion. So I can put as much as I want! Hohoho!
They recommend Feta cheese is good match with Tuna.

After placing cheese on top, and it going heating in the oven! Awww~~ The cheese melting nicely!

Before we put the last vege, you can ask for add-ons Chicken Crisp on your sandwich. This is one of the best selling from O'Briens and the taste very nice and crispy!

Last, put your salad on top, and place their own homemade Honey Mustard sauce on another part of bread. Cut it as 2, then my custom made sandwich is done!

Hey hey! Place some potato chips for decoration first, hahahaha!
Maybe I'm too hungry, and the taste really awesome for me! However, I feel like the chicken crisp is cover my tuna meat, and tuna quite dry for me.

As they emphasize in healthy food, so they only provide custom made sauce like honey mustard or cranberry in your sandwich. But they do provide other sauce like chili sauce if you need it. They not only offer sandwich, but they have provide salads, breakfast and fresh juice!

As Christmas is around the corner, O'Briens has doing special Christmas promotion as you order Smoked Chicken Thigh on Ciabatta, you can enjoy Glaceau Vitamin Water for RM1!! I know I have some of friend crazy with this drinks, here you go! The promotion will end 31st December 2015.

JEQ In The House @ Section 17, Petaling Jaya

BY Unknown IN , , 31 comments

The cafe just nearby my place and I never visit them since they open last year. Honestly, feel quite guilty on that, because I haven't try their dessert and they said the dessert is to-die-for!! Their tiramisu has been famous for so long and I can't wait for anymore, finally I'm here!

Making my dinner with BFF, and I can't wait to tell you more about the food in this cafe!
The ambiance is design more on artistic. You can see few musical instrument place in the cafe.

The cafe actually is a hidden cafe and if you are not always hangout this area, I think not anyone really realize their shop. Although facing the main road, but so sad to said that, lot of trees are block their cafe.

This place just so good for photograph.

JEQ's Butter Sauce Chicken Chop RM20

The chicken juicy inside and crispy outside. Served with secret sauce, mashed potato and garden salad. The mashed potato prepare freshly and you could bite the potato cube softly. But you have to wait at least 15 minutes for this dish.

Soft Shell Crab Creamy Spaghetti RM25

The spaghetti have not much ingredient, but the taste just freaking nice! This is one of my recommended spaghetti in their house! The sauce is creamy enough and the shell crab taste is good. I don't know how to explain what is make me feel awesome of this dish. You just go and try, and you will know it.

Creamy Mushroom Spaghetti RM18

The spaghetti cook with ham and mushroom with creamy. The sauce just a bit similar with Soft Shell Crab Spaghetti. By the way, Soft Shell Crab Spaghetti actually have a bit salty, compare to this, not too salty and just good.

JEQ's Special Pizza RM18

What is the special in their pizza? The pizza made in thin crust, come with ham, peppers, mushroom, and cheese fully cover on top. The pizza taste really good! This is one of the must order if you are here.

Tiramisu RM16

I have to say how sweet of the barista draw this on the plate and serve to us! They have not much cakes serve in the house, so the cake is freshly baked everyday. The tiramisu is soft and the alcohol level just good. I like their nut mixture on top because I love to eat crunchy and the flavor just mix and match with the cakes.

Since we order a lot main course, and not enough space for their another cakes - Macadamia Cheesecake. So bad!

My Verdict at JEQ In The House
The ambiance is cozy since few table is serve, you will not feel very pack when taking your meal.
I coming for dinner menu, and most of the working adults come here for dinner after off from their work. It's not so crowded yet, and I feel comfortable with it.
Price for the cake is a bit expensive, but it good for once for a while.
I will come back for their Macadamia Cheesecake.
